The Schuylkill Intermediate Unit serves as the administrative agency for the Department of Education to provide remedial educational services in mathematics and  Reading in all of the non-public secondary schools.  In addition, speech and language, hearing impaired, and psychological services are provided to each of the non-public schools in the  county.  This program serves 12 non-public elementary schools and 3 non-public secondary  schools in the county.
