General
Will the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit pay for internet access for an employee if they do not have the internet at home?

Answer - No, it is your choice to use the online IEP Writer system. You have other options like handwriting your IEP's or you can utilize the computers within your building. Contact your supervisor to discuss your situation.

Technical Questions
Can the IEP Writer be accessed from any computer that has an internet connection?

Answer - Yes, as long as the computer has Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on it.

Software Questions
Can we still use the IEP Writer 5.03 Version?

Answer - No. The printed output from IEP Writer 5.03 version no longer meets the State requirements. Technical assistance for this version is no longer being provided by Leader Services or the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 Technology Office.

Will the IEP's look the same?

Answer - Yes, when it is printed it will look the same.

Do the Progress Reports print out with the IEP?

Answer - Yes, but only when input is provided. (Blank spaces do not print)

Can you transfer global goals and objectives to the Personal bank or vice versa?

Answer - Yes, by utilizing the cut and paste function of your browser.

When student rosters are entered by the System Administrator, will "Contributors" be listed, eg.  Speech; as a related service?

Answer - Yes.

Will names on the cover sheet be saved each time for future use?

Answer - Yes, provided your clicked on the SAVE button at the bottom of your screen. If you do that, each school year roster will be updated with the demographic information.

Is a roster listed by classroom teacher or can you access it through your related service?

Answer - When a user logs on, he/she will have access to those students for whom he/she provides service to. If you are a related service, you are a contributor.

What happens if a related service uses IEP on line and the teacher does not?

Answer - You can still use the IEP on line and print it out to give to the roster teacher.

*** Encourage your co-workers to utilize the technology ***

Can IEP's from 5.03 be transferred to the new system?

Answer - No.

Should an IEP be saved to a disk and printed elsewhere?

Answer - No. If you are working at a computer that does not have a printer, just log off and go to another computer with a printer and log back in. Your work resides on our server which is backed up nightly. You can access your work from anywhere.

Can I make corrections to my hard copy?

Answer - You can correct, add, delete on your draft.

** Best practice would be to print your IEP as a draft for the actual IEP meeting and then after the meeting, make any updates to the work in progress to reflect any changes made during the IEP meeting.

Is there a limit to the number of goals and objectives that can be saved to the personal bank?

Answer - No.
