To obtain a library card, a patron must show identification which includes a current address. Children under 14 years of age must have a parent or guardian co-sign the application. Borrowers are responsible for all material borrowed on their card. <LI><STRONG><EM>Using Your Library Card: </EM></STRONG> Present your card, along with the materials you wish to borrow, at the circulation desk. <LI><STRONG> <EM>Loan Period: </EM></STRONG> Two days for video cassettes. Three weeks for all other materials. <LI><STRONG><EM>Fines: </EM></STRONG> Printed material is charged at a rate of ten cents per day; maximum of $3.00 per item. Video tapes are charged $2.00 per day per title; maximum of $10.00. <LI><STRONG><EM>Interlibrary Loan: </EM></STRONG> Interlibrary loan provides access to materials not owned by the Minersville Public Library. Requests are sent to the Pottsville Library via once a week delivery service. </UL> <H3 ALIGN=CENTER>Special Services</H3> <UL> <LI><STRONG><EM>Public Access Computers: </EM></STRONG>2 Internet access computers are available for public use. Time should be scheduled with Librarian to ensure availability. Printers can be used at a rate of ten cents a piece. <LI><STRONG><EM>Copy Machine: </EM></STRONG>The photocopy machine is availablefor public use. A donation is requested. <LI><STRONG><EM>Large Print Books: </EM></STRONG>Popular fiction and non-fiction books available. <LI><STRONG><EM>Videos: </EM></STRONG>Videos are available for a loan period of two days. These are changed every other month. <LI><STRONG><EM>Periodicals: </EM></STRONG>Current subscriptions to 20 periodical titles. <LI><STRONG><EM>Educational Toys and Puzzles: </EM></STRONG>A collection of educational toys and puzzles designed to develop a child's psychomotor skills, manual dexterity and coordination. <LI><STRONG><EM>Programs: </EM></STRONG> The library offers weekly preschool storytimes and summer reading programs for children.
