Consultants from the Intermediate Unit provide assistance in order to support students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Training, technical assistance and resources will be provided to assist building level teams to provide an effective educational program for students. These services may include support in the areas of curriculum, assessment, and effective instruction. Training and technical assistance may be provided through large or small group training and /or guided practice on the current best practices in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder.  Strategies may include, but are not limited to visual strategies, structured materials and directions, communication, social skils and sensory specific activities, which will assist in effective educational design.
