GED/High School Equivalency
Do you need a high school diploma to reach the next level in your career, earn more and/or access additional education and training? If you live in Pennsylvania, are 18 years of age or older (16 and 17 years olds require a waiver from the Pennsylvania Department of Education) and are not currently attending high school, you can gain a high school equivalent diploma through one of the following two options:
GED® Test – The GED tests in four subjects: language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. The test is computer-based and offered in English and Spanish. Special accommodations are available if needed.
30 College Credits – This option is for those with at least 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university in the United States. Individuals must apply through the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
The Lifelong Learning Center offers a series of free classes to help you prepare and pass the GED Test. During an initial orientation, we will customize your classes to your specific learning needs and will work with your schedule. We offer in-person and virtual learning options.

Family Literacy
Parents are key to the success of a child’s education. The Families Learning Together program helps parents get involved in their children’s education while growing the skills of the whole family. Our program combines early childhood, adult and parenting education into one program supported with fun learning activities.
Families Learning Together serves low-income families with young children (birth through grade 3) that also have one parent seeking adult education support.
