Teen Pregnancy and Parenting
If you are a pregnant or parenting teen, you will find a place where you belong at the Lifelong Learning Center’s ELECT (Education Leading to Employment and Career Training) program. Our team provides one-on-one personalized support, guidance and training to help you achieve both personally and as a parent.
All services are at no cost. Our caring staff will guide you along the way as you enter your new role as a parent.

Who is Eligible?
- Pregnant and/or parenting youth
- Partner of a pregnant and/or parenting youth
- Under 22 years of age
- In need of a high school education

What do we do?
- Provide individual and group counseling
- Inform about prenatal and postnatal care; labor and delivery; nutrition; growth and development of children; parenting skills and case management
- Support academics and monitor school attendance
- Assist with tutoring services
- Provide academic support to homebound students
- Support services for passing the GED® Test
- Inform about resources for health care, legal aid and other services
- Refer to social agencies
- Offer job readiness skills and career education/exploration
- Host monthly educational workshops
