Student Assistance Program (SAP)
SAP (Student Assistance Program) is an intervention program to assist troubled students. Every high school in Pennsylvania has a student assistance program. The purpose of the program is to identify students having problems of any type that interfere with the learning process.
How does the SAP process work?
- Once referred, the SAP team will contact the student’s parents and develop a plan of action to achieve success in school.
- The SAP team will also assist the students and parents in making contact with community agencies.
- The SAP team will continue to work and support the students and monitor their progress.
