MTSS Academics/PBIS Support

Pennsylvania’s Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) is a standards-aligned, comprehensive school improvement framework for enhancing all students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes. Pennsylvania’s Integrated MTSS provides all students equitable access to high-quality, standards-aligned instruction and supplemental intervention. Evidence-based academic, behavioral, and social-emotional practices are systematically and carefully integrated to enhance equity efficiency, and efficacy of services and support customized to the needs of all students, including students with disabilities.  

IU29 TaC Consultants provide training and onsite coaching related to research-based academic instruction and interventions/enrichment on topics including: Growth Mindset, Universal Design for Learning, Co-Teaching, Evidence-based Literacy Instruction, Differentiated Instruction, Assessments and Data Interpretation, Evidence-based Mathematics Instruction, STEM, Interventions and Strategies for Struggling Learners, Science of Reading/Structured Literacy, Enhancing Core Reading Instruction (ECRI), and School Improvement (ATSI/TSI/CSI).

 

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based approach for establishing the social culture needed for schools to be effective learning environments for all students. PBIS eliminates barriers to learning, creates and maintains a safe and effective learning environment in schools, and ensures that all students have the social and emotional skills needed to succeed in school and beyond. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports helps schools teach students expected behaviors and social skills, creates student behavioral health and academic support systems, and applies data-based decision-making to discipline, academics, and social/emotional learning.

IU29 TaC Consultants provide training and onsite coaching related to research-based behavioral and social-emotional topics/programs including: Schoolwide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS), School Wide Information System (SWIS), Check & Connect, Check In/Check Out, Project RENEW, Strategies for Defusing Challenging Behavior, Universal Screening, and Positive Behavior Classroom Supports (Classroom Management).
