Academic Achievement Awards

Each year Schuylkill County Superintendents and High School Principals recognize students for academic excellence at the Annual Schuylkill County Academic Achievement Awards Program. Each public and nonpublic high school selects 6 “Schuylkill Scholars” who are recognized for academic excellence, achievement, and accomplishment. This does not necessarily mean the 6 top ranked students in the class. Some have suggested selecting the top two students in academic, business, and vocational programs. Others will use different criteria to represent academic excellence. The final determination is up to each public and nonpublic high school.

Penn State Schuylkill also joins us in recognizing these scholars by offering additional scholarships.
