Psychological Services
  • The Schuylkill Intermediate Unit school psychologist provides direct consultative and psychological/educational assessment services to school district students attending the Maple Avenue Campus. In addition to serving students from Kindergarten through grade twelve, staff members provide services for the Early Intervention program.

In addition to providing direct consultative and psychological/educational assessment services to member school districts, the school psychologist and support staff coordinate evaluation and reevaluation activities, including psychiatric assessments. The psychologist also coordinates Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings when determining eligibility for special education and gifted support services. The psychological staff member collaborates with school social workers to provide crisis intervention services to regular and special education students in the county and technical assistance to the school districts.
